With a combined experience of more than fourteen years, Mamdobaji is a production studio specialising in visual strategy leading into art direction and digital films. Jaded by years of churning out watered down content and being constantly bombarded with digital clutter, the main purpose for the studio to take matters into their own hands, was to produce work that gets fingers clicking, tongues wagging and creative juices flowing. The project was to build visual identity for the same. We settled on the keywords Absurd, Minimalism, and Disruption. The Idea was to showcase the central idea of “We don’t make movies, we make you think.”
We wanted to have a sense of quirk and naughtiness running through the entire visual language. After several iterations of the logo we settled on one that was as minimalist as it was absurd while also having a strong sense of structure through both evident and implied geometric shapes.
This essence was carried over to both the typeface and the colour palette giving everything a sense of poetic beauty that goes beyond the traditional and the generic while keeping things subtle.
