The brief provided was to develop a brand identity for an online health-services platform that connects patients to doctors. Rescuedoc acts as a platform for doctors and patients to connect on a one on one basis. The idea was to target specialist doctors, who would in turn bring their patients on board for specialised consultation. The company is based out of Bangalore, so the urban tech-savvy youth was primarily targeted.
After finalising the keywords, Health, Safety and Medicine, we worked towards a concept that would highlight the major focus of the company - "To help people with their health". We finally settled on incorporating a heart within a stethoscope. The heart being a well recognised stand-in for good health and the stethoscope, in a similar manner, the most easily recognised part of a doctor’s toolkit.
The final logo and logo-type was presented as a brandmark for the company. We directed importance towards the doctor being the saviour through a basic graphic design principle of using contrast to show emphasis.
